In Your Own Voice: LGBTQIA+ Short Story Competition

Now open
Dudley Editions invites LGBTQIA+ writers and allies to submit short works, fiction or non-fiction, under 2,500 words, that celebrate identity, connection, and imagination.

At the end of the submission window, up to 10 standout entries will be selected. Each winning writer will receive 10 free share codes to gift to friends, family, or supporters. These codes let recipients create a personalised audiobook version of the winning story, read in their own voice. Select, elligible stories will also be made available for others to purchase and share in the app.
Entries close June 27, 2025

Accessible by Design: The Role of Personalised Audio in Inclusive Publishing

Personalised audiobooks offer a powerful, inclusive tool for publishing, designed from the start to meet diverse user needs through co-creation and accessibility.

Beyond Access: How Publishing Can Lead in a Digital World

Publishing does this really well by moving with technology (albeit slowly at times), to reach people where they are. But the connection publishers are able to make with themselves, their readers, and their books often stops once the item is sold, or made available to the reader.

Whose Voices Are Remembered? Archiving the Voices of Those We Love

Using technology can help people share and preserve meaningful voices and memories.

What is a personalised audiobook?

Personalised audiobooks are books that are tailored to the individual user. They help create connections between readers in ways that were previously unavailable.

It also represents a new form of copyright that can help publishers reach wider audiences.
